Credentials & qualifications:
At Prime Life Assist, we understand that care and support in later life can vary greatly from person to person. Whether for yourself, your aging parent, or a loved one, we offer regular assistance due to a disability or illness, temporary support during recovery from a hospital stay, or simply an extra hand with routine chores and tasks. We are here to help.
Our person-centred approach ensures that we meet everyone where they are, focusing not only on completing tasks but also on building lasting, trusting relationships with our clients—relationships grounded in respect and reliability.
What’s the difference between a Carer and a Personal Assistant?
Both key workers provide essential support, but the difference often lies in their approach.
A Carer is typically employed by a care agency to provide both personal and non-personal care. They may assist with specialist medical care or offer live-in support, but their visits are usually scheduled and less flexible.
In contrast, a Personal Assistant is independent and self-employed, offering practical care and support that is guided by the client. This ensures that assistance is tailored to the client’s goals, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
